I am happy to share with you a few infos and links to the projects I am

currently engaged in:

1. http://start.freifunk.net (German)

freifunk.net is a meta project for community run open wireless
infrastructures. It would be good to set up likewise infrastructures all
over the planet. As most of our communication is local, why not just
build our own urban or remote wireless intranet using advanced mesh
technologies like OLSR or b.a.t.m.a.n.

2. Open Spectrum Alliance Europe (English)

The electromagnic spectrum is key to recent and future communications
infrastructures. Funny enough that the ether is regulated by various
national and transnational groups, which are anything but not
neccessarily democratic institutions. Latest technologies allow sharing
the spectrum much different than we had to do it in the eara of analog
transmissions. So called cognitive radios would today allow us to have
true P2P communications within larger regions without any need for
providers or telecoms. The big problem is, that most people consider
this to be a technical issue, rahter than a political struggle. I would
be happy to receive your help in trying to mobilize more people and
"translate" this issue into the "real" world. Read more at

3. OHANDA (English)

IF YOU DESIGN IT 4 FREEDOM, THEN LABEL IT WITH THE 4 FREEDOMS! ;-)

The Open Hardware and Design Alliance is an approach to label OSH to
make it visible as a commons shared ressource. Please spread the word
into any field of design or production you know of.

4. DeepaMehta - Cope with Complexity! (English)

DeepaMehta is a FOSS software platform for Knowledge Management which is
still under development. Knowledge is represented in a semantic network
and is handled collaboratively. DeepaMehta combines interdisciplinary
research with the idea of Open Source to generate a true benefit for
workflow as well as for social processes. The big goal is to have a
software that will allow us to share our knowledge with others,
preferably in a P2P infrastructure. http://www.deepamehta.de
